Over the last year, I spent many long mornings with the Austin, Texas Patriot Guard Riders, a group of motorcycle riders who escort military funerals. Here are some images from a project that taught me a lot about what it means to really support military families.
This morning I was asked by a potential client to send some comps, because they are trying to convince THEIR client to go with black and white for the cover of a magazine. I was happy to send them the images for lay-out purposes, but now have spent the rest f the day going through my old film images and really missing how I used to shoot. The above image is one they wanted, and was from a trip I took to India when I was 22. I decided that I wanted to do a story, found a great one, put my things in storage and blew a good chunk of my savings. I really had no idea what I was doing, but loved working with the St. Stephen’s Community Health Center in Delhi. Even though these have fallen out of my portfolio, these are still some of may favorite images… no matter what anyone else thinks.
